The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poison drives through with a takedown into guard.
Poison in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Odonnell looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Poison drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Odonnell manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Poison has Odonnell in his guard.
Odonnell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Odonnell is looking to stand up but Poison won't let him.
Poison is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bryan Poison hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Odonnell shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Poison manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Odonnell wants to get up but he can't break Poison's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close round but Bryan Poison will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Poison is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Odonnell's half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Poison stalling away here and it's allowed Odonnell to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Poison tries to buck Odonnell off but Odonnell is having none of it.

Odonnell remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Odonnell decides to stand back up. Odonnell steps back and let's Poison get back to his feet.
Poison throws a half hearted mid kick.

It looks like Hung Odonnell has been cut.
Poison is fighting off a takedown attempt but Odonnell is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Poison to the mat. Poison regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bryan Poison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Odonnell looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Odonnell changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Poison looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Poison is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Odonnell is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Odonnell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hung Odonnell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bryan Poison is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Odonnell pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
