The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mutant misses with a hook to the body
and Rege counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rege.
Rege breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A nice combination there by Rege.
Mutant looks to score with a jab to the body but Rege is just out of range.
Mutant takes a swing at Rege's ribcage but misses.

Rege scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Rege closes the distance and clinches.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mutant misses with a short punch on the inside.

Mutant throws a punch but it's blocked by Rege.

Mutant swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Rege is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Mutant is defending well for now.

Rege wants a takedown.
Mutant throws a head punch that misses.
Mutant stops a takedown attempt from Rege.
Mutant tries a body shot but Rege blocks it.

Rege gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Mutant is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rege's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rege's back!
What can Rege do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Mutant wants to control but Rege is having none of it.
Mutant tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mutant tries to lock up and control but Rege gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Rege lands a couple of good shots and Mutant has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Rege working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Mutant is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Rege has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Mutant taps out!

Unigu Rege really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Charlie Wang's Tattered Rags & 95% Laundry logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
