Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leandro Lopes!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lopes gets tackled into the cage by Park. Park maintains the clinch.

Park jumps guard but Lopes stands there with Park around his waist. Park gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Lopes looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Park really is a fat lump.
Park distracts Lopes with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Lopes is pulling down on Park's head to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Leandro Lopes was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Park tries to clinch but Lopes is having none of it.

Park gets tackled into the cage by Lopes. Lopes maintains the clinch.
Lopes jumps guard but Park stands there with Lopes around his waist. Lopes gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Lopes is looking to sweep but instead, Park has passed into half guard.
Lopes tries to kick Park off but Park keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Park looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Park has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lopes drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Park sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Lopes is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Lopes throws an elbow that misses. Park uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lopes's guard. Nice move by Park!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Park lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Lopes is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Park is aware though and is defending well.
Park tries to stand but Lopes is controlling from the bottom.
Efren Park overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Park works over Lopes with some ground and pound from guard.

Park postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Park slaps away a takedown attempt from Lopes, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Park is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Park throws a body punch but Lopes moves out of range.
Lopes tries to score a power double leg takedown but Park sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lopes somewhat.
Efren Park has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leandro Lopes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Park doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Park is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Park wants to break free but Lopes has control.
Lopes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Park walks away with a smile on his face. Lopes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Park manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Park throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Park is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Lopes seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lopes tries to circle away but Park has him pinned against the cage.
Park's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Lopes wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Lopes is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lopes is looking to take this one to the mat.
Park wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lopes has him pressed against the cage.
Lopes misses with an elbow over the top.
Lopes tries to pull guard but Park won't allow it.

With the fighters up against the cage, Park throws an elbow but misses.
Come on Lopes - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Lopes is trying to maintain a safe position but Park gets an underhook and turns Lopes into the cage.

Park pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lopes swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Park goes for a double leg but Lopes avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lopes continues to drive forward.

Park ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Park no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Park might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Park manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Park lands a nice shot to the head.

The referee warns Lopes that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Park postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lopes looks a forlorn figure.

Park cracks Lopes with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Lopes from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
