Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chris Beckman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hakan Yuksel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yuksel tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Beckman swivels and escapes.
Beckman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Beckman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Yuksel defends it nicely.

Beckman closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Yuksel quickly recovers to half guard.
Beckman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Beckman content to control rather than advance.
Beckman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Yuksel preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Beckman postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Yuksel to stand up.

Yuksel misses with a takedown

and Beckman counters by moving into the clinch.

Beckman gets control of Yuksel's arms and successfully pulls guard. Beckman will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Beckman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Yuksel manages to get himself to full guard.

Beckman throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Yuksel works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Hakan Yuksel.
Beckman looks for a takedown but Yuksel sprawls well.

and Beckman counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Yuksel darts in looking for a takedown but Beckman gets double underhooks and turns Yuksel into the cage.

Beckman turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A lull in the action here as Beckman stalls from top position.
Beckman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Yuksel is trying to control Beckman's posture but Beckman avoids it.

Yuksel wants to sweep but no luck.

Yuksel wants to control but Beckman is having none of it.
Beckman lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Beckman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Beckman throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Yuksel has his hands clasped together but Beckman breaks the hold and Yuksel is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Beckman!
