Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steven Flecher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex MacDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Steven Flecher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex MacDonald!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flecher circles away from the clinch attempt.

MacDonald takes the fight into the clinch.
MacDonald prevents the takedown attempt.

MacDonald drags the fight down to the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Flecher is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
MacDonald looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
MacDonald has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Flecher has passed into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
MacDonald gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
MacDonald wants to hold on but Flecher pushes him away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
MacDonald tries to reverse the position but Flecher maintains control.
Flecher controlling the pace for now.
MacDonald is wriggling around trying to escape.
Flecher throwing strikes here but MacDonald is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Flecher throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Flecher thowing shots but they're missing.
Flecher controlling from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
MacDonald tries to lock up and control but Flecher gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Flecher is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Flecher shoots in and gets a takedown into MacDonald's guard.
Flecher slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Flecher advances position into side control!
Sloppy strikes there by Flecher.
Flecher looking to punish the body of his opponent here but MacDonald is avoiding damage well.
MacDonald seems a little lost for a moment, as Flecher dominates the positioning.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Flecher misses with the ground and pound.
MacDonald really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flecher. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Flecher stands up and beckons MacDonald to his feet.
MacDonald tries to close the distance and clinch up but Flecher swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Flecher keeps the fight on the outside.
MacDonald wants to clinch.
MacDonald tries to clinch but Flecher moves out of range.
Flecher avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

MacDonald gets caught flat footed, as Flecher shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Flecher throws a big elbow that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
MacDonald being controlled here, momentarily.
Flecher trying to control the position from guard on top but MacDonald is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Flecher controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Steven Flecher has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
MacDonald tries to clinch up

and Flecher counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Flecher.
MacDonald looks winded!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

MacDonald throws his legs up looking for a submission but Flecher uses it to pass to side control.
MacDonald is not content to let Flecher control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steven Flecher dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Flecher throws a lazy right hand but MacDonald sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
MacDonald tries to clinch there but Flecher circles away.
Flecher pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Flecher closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
MacDonald trying to hold on to Flecher's head to control him but Flecher postures up.
MacDonald keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
MacDonald trying to get back to full guard but Flecher takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Flecher looking to ground and pound but MacDonald is blocking nicely.
Flecher controlling his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Flecher prevents MacDonald from getting the reversal.
MacDonald is breathing heavily.

Flecher working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. MacDonald turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Flecher off and cradles MacDonald's limp body as Flecher celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Steven Flecher!
