The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spong wants to clinch up but Ranger keeps it at a distance.
Spong looks to land a combination but Ranger avoids it well.
Spong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Spong uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ranger.
Ranger swings for the body but Spong moves out of range.
Spong wants to clinch but Ranger slips to the side
and Ranger connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Spong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ranger swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ranger throws out a powerful jab.
A head kick misses from Spong.
Ranger slips a straight right by Spong.
Ranger circles away from the clinch attempt.
Spong tries to clinch but Ranger is having none of it.
Spong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ranger paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Spong tries to close the distance and clinch but Ranger swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Spong misses with a straight left.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Spong takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Spong on the wrong end of a nice jab.

It looks like Bryan Spong has been cut.
Ranger paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Spong is rocked!

Ranger fakes the body blow, causing Spong to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Spong goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
