Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor McManus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Professor Green - Monster . McManus has chosen Jeff Danna - 'The Blood of Cú Chulainn' as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McManus has a takedown stuffed.
McManus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McManus chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jones can pounce on him.
Jones looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
No luck with that takedown attempt from McManus.
Jones lands a slapping body shot.
McManus cracks Jones with an open hand slap.
McManus throws a combination that misses
and Jones counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jones swings for the body but McManus moves out of range.
McManus swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but McManus is just out of range.
Jones pushes McManus away with a front kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Michael Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jones uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McManus.
McManus thuds a left hand into Jones's body.
McManus takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Michael Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Connor McManus.
McManus takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

McManus cracks the inside of Jones's front leg.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McManus paws at him with a jab and circles away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

No joy there for McManus, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones throws the kick towards the body but McManus avoids it.

McManus uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
Jones dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McManus. That did some damage!
McManus swings for the body but Jones moves out of range.
Jones lands with a straight right. McManus didn't see that one coming.

and Jones counters with a body kick.
McManus looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but McManus persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.

McManus walks into a jab.
McManus throws an overhand right that lands on Jones's shoulder, as Jones tries to avoid the shot.
McManus moves out of range of the strikes.
McManus is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones.
McManus on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
McManus works the jab nicely.
Jones lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

McManus is rocked!
Jones loads up on a big right hand but McManus slips the punch.
McManus is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him?
Jones misses with an uppercut.
Jones drops McManus with a straight left! Oh this is bad for McManus! Jones dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
