Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sylvester Gallegos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Sloczylas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sylvester Gallegos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edward Sloczylas!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sloczylas closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Gallegos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Gallegos fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sloczylas, pushing him back against the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Sloczylas is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gallegos is defending well for now.
Gallegos has Sloczylas pressed against the cage, preventing Sloczylas from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Sloczylas throws a knee to the head but misses.

Gallegos successfully pulls guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Gallegos throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Sloczylas preventing the sweep.

Sloczylas would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Sloczylas darts in and clinches Gallegos up against the cage.

Sloczylas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gallegos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sloczylas is one step ahead there.

Gallegos is looking to control Sloczylas's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gallegos avoid being mounted?

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Edward Sloczylas.

Gallegos moves into the clinch.
Sloczylas throws a knee to the head but misses.
Sloczylas tries to land knees in the clinch but Gallegos avoids the damage to the body.
Sloczylas is looking to control Gallegos's arms but Gallegos gets an underhook and turns him. Now Sloczylas has his back to the cage.
Gallegos blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sloczylas.

Sloczylas breaks from the clinch.

Sloczylas closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gallegos quickly recovers to half guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Sloczylas tries a knee to the head but Gallegos blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Edward Sloczylas will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sylvester Gallegos.

Sloczylas shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sloczylas was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Sloczylas goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Gallegos is on top in guard.
Gallegos has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Sloczylas is breathing heavily.
Gallegos with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Sloczylas is trying to control the position from the bottom.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gallegos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gallegos has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Gallegos chips away with some ground and pound.

Gallegos is working Sloczylas over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Gallegos cracks Sloczylas with a solid left hand.

Sloczylas had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gallegos defends it easily.
Gallegos is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Gallegos's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Gallegos is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sloczylas controls Gallegos momentarily but Gallegos frees himself.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sylvester Gallegos will probably get the nod.

Gallegos rushes Sloczylas and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Gallegos is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sloczylas to keep the fight standing.

Sloczylas wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Gallegos tries for a takedown but Sloczylas manages to get underhooks.
Gallegos has Sloczylas pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sloczylas manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Gallegos jumps guard but Sloczylas turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Edward Sloczylas hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Sloczylas throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gallegos tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sloczylas is in Gallegos's guard.
Sloczylas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Edward Sloczylas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sloczylas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Edward Sloczylas decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
