And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alex Gurmorow!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berrou shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gurmorow defends it nicely.

Gurmorow moves into the clinch.

Berrou manages to break the clinch.
Berrou throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Berrou takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Berrou throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gurmorow's waist but Gurmorow gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Berrou off to one side.

Gurmorow forces Berrou back against the cage and clinches.
Gurmorow lands a shot to the body.
Berrou prevents Gurmorow from breaking the clinch.

Gurmorow is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Berrou can't fight it off and eventually Gurmorow manages to take the fight to the floor. Berrou looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Berrou wants to sweep but no luck.
Gurmorow throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Gurmorow pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Berrou is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gurmorow slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Gurmorow landing strikes.
Gurmorow lands a nice forearm strike.

Berrou tries to buck Gurmorow off but Gurmorow is having none of it.
Gurmorow is looking to take a break and control but Berrou is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gurmorow cracks Berrou with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Gurmorow is chipping away with strikes.

Berrou is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A big shot lands for Gurmorow! That's hurt Berrou! Will he recover? Gurmorow fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
