Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gim Ruut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruut has chosen Haze - Device (feat. M. Shadows) as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tyson Blaze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gim Ruut!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blaze turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Blaze. Ruut does a little dance to reset his feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Blaze tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Ruut slowing the pace effectively.
Blaze digs a right hand underneath Ruut's ribcage. Ruut let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Blaze doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Blaze can't find room to land a body shot as Ruut controls the action.

Ruut looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Ruut swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Blaze.

It looks like Gim Ruut has been cut.
Blaze lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ruut's sensitive parts.

Blaze cracks Ruut with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Blaze feints and then cracks Ruut's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ruut down.

Ruut clinches up against the cage.
Blaze lands an uppercut.
Ruut avoiding damage as Blaze throws knees to the body.
Blaze with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Ruut blocks a body shot from Blaze.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Blaze lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Blaze tries to throw a body punch but Ruut avoids it by throwing Blaze back against the cage.
A bit of stalling here from Blaze.
Ruut tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Blaze smiles and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ruut closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Blaze's guard.
Blaze wants to stand up but Ruut is controlling him.

Ruut drops back, looking for a kneebar! Blaze looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Blaze looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Blaze!
Blaze is looking to take a break and control but Ruut is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tyson Blaze.

Ruut looking to score a takedown here. Blaze is defending well but Ruut drives through and ends up in Blaze's guard.

Ruut throws a big elbow that misses.
Ruut stops Blaze from standing up.
Ruut pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Blaze is keeping the position for now.
Blaze is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Blaze is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Blaze slaps away a takedown attempt from Ruut, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Blaze swings for the body but Ruut moves out of range.

Ruut manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Blaze on his heels. He'll look to pass Blaze's guard now, I'm sure.

Blaze lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Ruut closes this distance looking for a takedown but Blaze circles away.
Blaze throws a body punch but Ruut moves out of range.

Ruut throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ruut fails to land the takedown.
Tyson Blaze has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gim Ruut.
Blaze keeps the fight on the outside.
Blaze throws a jab but it's blocked by Ruut.
Blaze throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Blaze connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ruut momentarily.
Ruut fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Blaze avoids it really well and circles away.
Blaze throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Tyson Blaze is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Blaze fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Blaze thuds his right hand into Ruut's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Nice defenses there by Blaze.
Ruut ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Blaze moves away.
Ruut lands a slapping body shot.
Tyson Blaze is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Blaze lands with a straight right. Ruut didn't see that one coming.
Blaze displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ruut.

Gim Ruut has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Blaze looks to land a combination. Ruut sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Blaze tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ruut was well out of range. Poor timing from Blaze.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Blaze, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Tyson Blaze seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Gim Ruut was interviewed post fight and said 'I wasn't able to do what I planned. That's plain simple. I'm sorry to disappoint you guys, but it is what it is. I hope to comeback stronger next time. I'm sure I will.'.
