The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Citlali tries a head kick but it misses.
Adams throws a shot to the body.
Adams looks to land a body kick but Citlali moved away.
Citlali drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
We've been told by Citlali's head coaches at Warrior MMA and Fitness that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Adams lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Adams sizes up Citlali with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Adams connects with a solid leg kick.
Adams dips to his left and cracks Citlali with an uppercut!
A jab from Adams misses.
Adams shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Citlali fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Adams manages to avoid it.
Citlali doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Adams slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Adams lands a nice shot that snaps Citlali's head back.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Adams has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A decent looking cross lands there for Adams.

Adams drops Citlali with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Citlali! Adams dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Gregory Adams decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
