Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marco Ferk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smeder Balovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ferk might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prcKWXLQhPg. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marco Ferk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Smeder Balovich!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Fedor Mirinova and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balovich stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ferk.
No joy there for Ferk, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ferk wants to clinch but Balovich slips to the side
and Balovich counters with a nice body shot.
Ferk throws a leg kick but Balovich moved away.
A combination from Ferk does no damage.
Balovich slips a jab and a cross from Ferk.
Ferk lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Balovich blocks a leg kick.
Balovich shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Balovich is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Ferk pushes Balovich off looking to stand but Balovich dives back in and keeps control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ferk is refusing to be controlled, as Balovich sits in half guard.
Ferk wants to get back to his feet.
Balovich lands with a punch from half guard.
Balovich content to control rather than advance.
Balovich is looking to take a break and control but Ferk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Balovich is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ferk sees it coming and defends easily.
Ferk is not content to let Balovich control the position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Balovich lands a nice short elbow.
Balovich throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Ferk on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ferk keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Balovich missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Balovich thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Balovich throwing shots but Ferk is blocking nicely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Balovich wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ferk keeps working.
Balovich lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Ferk regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Balovich.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ferk avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Balovich postures up in Ferk's guard and throws a big left but Ferk blocks it.
Balovich trying to control the position from guard on top but Ferk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Balovich postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ferk is breathing heavily.
Balovich throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ferk working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Balovich.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Balovich with a flurry of punches that miss.
Balovich is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Smeder Balovich dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Ferk misses with a takedown attempt
and Ferk takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Marco Ferk has been cut.
Ferk throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Balovich.
Ferk swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Balovich counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Balovich.
Balovich loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Ferk avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Balovich in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Balovich stands up over Ferk, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Balovich lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Ferk is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Balovich makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Oh Ferk is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Balovich with a nice head shot there.
Balovich arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Ferk's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Smeder Balovich!
A very excited looking Smeder Balovich made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
