PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Haywood Jablowme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Durran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durran is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Do or die. Billy Durran will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jablowme closes the distance and pushes Durran back into the cage.

Durran is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Jablowme is keeping busy.

Durran pulls guard effortlessly.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Durran is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Durran looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jablowme has picked Durran up and slammed him! Durran can't keep hold of the triangle and Jablowme manages to pass to side control!

Jablowme decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Durran tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jablowme looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Jablowme moves in looking to clinch but Durran pushes him off.

Durran looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Durran uses his free foot to push down on Jablowme's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jablowme.

Durran wants to control the pace but Jablowme is squirming around nicely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Durran tries to control but Jablowme wriggling away.

Durran is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jablowme is surviving well by controlling Durran's body position as best he can.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Durran lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jablowme circles away quickly and effectively.
Haywood Jablowme seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Durran throws a body punch but Jablowme moves out of range.
Durran fails with a takedown attempt.

Durran tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jablowme's elbow.

Durran is trying to control the position but Jablowme postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Durran bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jablowme's guard.
Jablowme lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Durran!
Durran is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Durran is wriggling around trying to escape.
The referee warns Durran that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Jablowme avoids the attempt from Durran to control.
Jablowme postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Durran looks a forlorn figure.
Durran tries to hold on but Jablowme postures up.

Jablowme takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Durran moves into range and clinches up with Jablowme.
Durran tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jablowme just stands there and leans against the cage.

Jablowme has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Jablowme wants to hit a switch here but Durran passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Jablowme there!

Durran can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jablowme is looking to escape.

Jablowme has left one of his arms exposed and Durran doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Jablowme screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
