Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rudolph White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Thomas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Rudolph White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White fails in his attempt to clinch.
White tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thomas swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Thomas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
White shoots in for a double leg but Thomas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

White scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Thomas is looking to escape.
White is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
White misses with a head shot. Thomas uses the momentum to regain guard.
White postures up.

Thomas manages to escape and get back to his feet.
White tries to clinch up but Thomas circles away and keeps his distance.

Thomas rushes White and presses him up against the cage.

White could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Thomas takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Thomas jumps guard and drags White to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Thomas avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Thomas looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Thomas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Thomas bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in White's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Thomas drops back, looking for a kneebar! White looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. White looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from White!
Thomas regains half guard.

White is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Thomas sees it coming and defends easily.

White escapes and gets back to his feet.
Thomas pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Thomas closes the distance and clinches.
White tries to circle away but Thomas has him pinned against the cage.
Thomas prevents White from breaking the clinch.

Thomas tries a body shot but White blocks it.
White goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Thomas is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
White is stalling here.
Thomas tries to circle away but White has him pinned against the cage.

White lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Thomas.

Thomas works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Thomas gets to his feet. White looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Thomas wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Thomas jumps guard and drags White to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
White has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

White wants to sweep but no luck.
Thomas wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.

White looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Thomas gets to his feet. White looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Thomas shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. White manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Thomas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Thomas is nestled in close to White, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

White tries to stall but Thomas uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Thomas has White pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Thomas pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending White tumbling to the mat - Thomas dives into White's guard.
White utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

White is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Thomas defends well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

White tries to sprawl but Thomas drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Thomas looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks White with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

White gets caught napping as Thomas dives in and scores a takedown. White manages to retain guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Thomas fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging White to the ground. Thomas is now in White's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mark Thomas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Thomas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
