Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Lagk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Gustaffson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gustaffson shoots in for a takedown but Lagk shows good takedown defense.
Gustaffson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Lagk counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Gustaffson!
Nick Lagk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Gustaffson.
Gustaffson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Gustaffson has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Lagk passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Gustaffson!

Gustaffson is in a horrible position here. Lagk smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Lagk is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gustaffson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Gustaffson is bucking up trying to escape but Lagk cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gustaffson wants to control but Lagk is having none of it.
Lagk lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Gustaffson is still in real trouble! Can Lagk finish him?

Lagk is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Gustaffson is surviving well by controlling Lagk's body position as best he can.
Lagk cracks Gustaffson with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
