The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A thudding body kick lands there by Smith !
Smith fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Carlsson.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Carlsson.
Smith throws a front kick that sends Carlsson stumbling back into the cage.
Smith lands a nice looking kick to the body. Carlsson takes a step back to recover.

Smith throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Carlsson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Smith is in Carlsson's guard.
