Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Benjamin Somerset (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omen Scribe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Benjamin Somerset!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Omen Scribe!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Somerset wants to clinch but Scribe slips to the side
and Somerset takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Scribe shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Scribe was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Somerset is looking to reverse the position.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Somerset tries to escape but Scribe is in control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Somerset struggling a bit here.
Somerset manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Somerset is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Scribe is not content to let Somerset control the position.

Somerset seems to be working for a kimura but Scribe defends the submission attempt.
Scribe won't allow Somerset to pass to mount.
Somerset stalling away here and it's allowed Scribe to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Somerset drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Scribe dives on top into guard.

Somerset wants to sweep but no luck.
Scribe won't allow Somerset to get back to his feet.
Somerset is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Somerset wants to lay and pray for a moment but Scribe keeps working.

Somerset seems to be looking for submissions.
Somerset is breathing heavily.

Somerset is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Scribe sees it coming and defends easily.
Scribe is staying active underneath Somerset, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Somerset trying to mount his opponent but Scribe defends it.
Somerset is looking to stall here but Scribe recovers full guard.

Somerset has gone for a leg lock! Scribe slips out almost immediately though and dives into Somerset's guard.

Somerset is striking from the bottom but Scribe uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Scribe lands with a punch from half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Scribe takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Somerset is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Scribe scores with a head kick. Somerset tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
A jab from Scribe finds it's way through Somerset's defenses.
Somerset avoids a punch combination nicely.
Scribe keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Scribe moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Scribe scores with a jab. Somerset acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Somerset shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Somerset tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Scribe dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Somerset. That did some damage!

Somerset shoots in but no luck this time.
Scribe thuds a left hand into Somerset's body.
Somerset avoids a kick to the body.
Benjamin Somerset is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Somerset takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Somerset tries to clinch there but Scribe circles away.
Somerset tries for a takedown but Scribe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Benjamin Somerset overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Scribe controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Scribe's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Omen Scribe.
Scribe scores with a sloppy right hand. Somerset should have avoided that one.
Scribe feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Somerset's calf.
Somerset on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Scribe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Somerset.
Somerset cracks a nice hook into Scribe's ribs.

Somerset shoots in for a double leg but Scribe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Scribe, right into the meat.

Scribe lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Scribe fakes the leg kick and cracks Somerset in the body.
Omen Scribe seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Crunch! Scribe slams his shin into Somerset's torso.
Somerset shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Scribe counters with a nice uppercut.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Somerset connects with an inside leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Omen Scribe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Scribe connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Somerset throws a jab when Scribe was well out of range.
Somerset has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Scribe finds it's way round the side to connect with Somerset's head.

Scribe takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Omen Scribe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Somerset shoots in for a double leg but Scribe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Somerset takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Somerset takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Scribe bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Scribe thumps Somerset with a low kick.
Scribe throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Scribe misses with a few strikes there.
We've been informed that Scribe has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Somerset doesn't manage to clinch there - Scribe circles away.
An inside leg kick lands from Scribe.
Somerset chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Scribe can pounce on him.

Somerset goes for a double leg but Scribe avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Scribe continues to drive forward.
Somerset blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Scribe creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Somerset's defenses.
Somerset can't find room to land a body shot as Scribe controls the action.
Somerset looking to slow down the pace here.
Scribe prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benjamin Somerset. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Scribe lands an elbow just above Somerset 's eye.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Somerset. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
A short body shot lands from Scribe as the two fighters clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Somerset has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Scribe is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Still in the clinch, Scribe scores with a nice short uppercut.
Scribe makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Somerset is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Scribe is defending well for now.

Scribe lands a left hand that snaps the head of Somerset backwards.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Scribe.
Somerset goes for a takedown attempt but Scribe pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

And that's the end of the fight!
Omen Scribe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Scribe has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
