Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oren Calhoun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Bowman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowman fails with a takedown attempt.
Bowman avoids the head kick by Calhoun.
Bowman dives in and grabs Calhoun's left leg, looking for a takedown. Calhoun pushes down on Bowman's head and hops out.
Bowman shoots in for a double leg but Calhoun sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Oren Calhoun has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Bowman.

Bowman scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bowman blocks the strikes from Calhoun.
Calhoun pushes Bowman off looking to stand but Bowman dives back in and keeps control.

Bowman decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Bowman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Calhoun swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Calhoun, as that shot connected.
A decent looking cross lands there for Calhoun.
Bowman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Bowman moves into range and clinches up with Calhoun.
Calhoun is trying to break the clinch but Bowman is controlling him.

Bowman ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bowman no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Calhoun wanted to stand there but Bowman had control of the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Oren Calhoun.
Bowman misses with a takedown attempt - Calhoun sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Bowman dives in for a single leg takedown but Calhoun sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Bowman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bowman tries to clinch there but Calhoun circles away.
Bowman lands with an uppercut that bounces Calhoun off the cage and back into range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Calhoun is defended easily by Bowman.
No luck for Calhoun with that takedown attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Bowman counters by clinching up.
Bowman is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Calhoun is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nick Bowman dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bowman rushes Calhoun and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Bowman drops down looking for an ankle pick but Calhoun pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bowman fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Calhoun has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A head kick misses from Calhoun.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bowman. Calhoun does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bowman fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bowman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Calhoun circles away.
Bowman shoots for a double leg takedown but Calhoun sprawls well. He's pushed Bowman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Calhoun shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bowman as he jumps to the side.
Calhoun fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bowman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bowman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Calhoun tries to avoid it but Bowman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Calhoun to the ground. Calhoun escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Nick Bowman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bowman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Calhoun's waist but Calhoun gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bowman off to one side.

Bowman throws a sloppy head kick and Calhoun moves out of range easily.

Calhoun shoots in and bounces Bowman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A close second round but Nick Bowman will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Calhoun is trying to push Bowman away but Bowman has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Bowman will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Calhoun up against the cage.
Bowman prevents the takedown attempt.
Bowman is working for takedown but Calhoun is calmly controlling the position for now.
Calhoun wants to break free but Bowman has control.

Calhoun turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Calhoun manages to end up in side control.
Bowman manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Bowman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Calhoun is trying to maintain the position but Bowman is very close to passing his half guard.
Bowman is looking to take a break and control but Calhoun is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Calhoun has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Bowman is on him like a limpet, forcing Calhoun back against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Calhoun jumps guard but Bowman stands there with Calhoun around his waist. Calhoun gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Oren Calhoun showed his dominance in that final round.
