Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Steven Thomsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yimmi Tamir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomsen misses with a head kick.

Tamir tries for a takedown but Thomsen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Thomsen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tamir at a distance.
Steven Thomsen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tamir avoids a kick to the body.
Thomsen misses with an attempted mid kick.
Thomsen lands a nice looking kick to the body. Tamir takes a step back to recover.
Thomsen scores with a jab to the jaw.
The crowd cheers as Thomsen lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tamir doesn't seem phased though.

It looks like Yimmi Tamir has been cut.

Thomsen leaves Tamir with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Thomsen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Thomsen throws a half hearted mid kick.

A jab-cross combination lands for Thomsen and sends Tamir crashing to the mat! Thomsen follows him down to the mat - Tamir regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Thomsen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tamir on the ground.

Still in half guard, Thomsen seems content to control.

We're going to have a standup here because Steven Thomsen wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Tamir moves out of range of the body kick from Thomsen.
Thomsen stalks Tamir and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tamir's face. Tamir staggers backwards, shaken.
Thomsen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Thomsen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Thomsen lands with an uppercut that bounces Tamir off the cage and back into range.

Thomsen tries to bum rush Tamir with a series of wild strikes but Tamir uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Thomsen works over Tamir's head and body with a nice combination.

Tamir is rocked!
Thomsen lands a hook that stumbles Tamir back into the cage. Thomsen follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Tamir to the canvas! Thomsen pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Tamir has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
