Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rick Longshank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zack Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Longshank comes to the cage accompanied by duality by slipknot. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Longshank!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zack Miller!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miller shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Longshank eats them both and turns towards Miller to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Miller sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Miller crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Longshank - the referee stops the clock and Miller gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Longshank. Miller manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Longshank throws a series of punches but Miller avoids them all with ease.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Longshank here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Miller might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Longshank has got the better of the exchanges.
