Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Megnus Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vydan Freuster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus swings for the body but Freuster moves out of range.

It looks like Vydan Freuster has been cut.
Freuster bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Freuster swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Freuster ducks straight into an uppercut from Maximus and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Freuster manages to regain guard straight away.

We've been hearing good reports from Maximus's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Freuster has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Maximus is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Freuster looks to land a left hand but Maximus moved out of range nicely.

and Freuster makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Freuster ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Maximus is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Maximus and Freuster goes tumbling to the canvas! Maximus follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Freuster is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Well, if Maximus is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Freuster is trying to control but can't.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Maximus wants to pass to mount but Freuster is defending the position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Freuster gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Freuster tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Maximus is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Freuster buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Freuster!! Freuster is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Maximus throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
