The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis shoots in for a takedown but Palmeri shows good takedown defense.
Pettis thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Palmeri if he has to take too many more of those.
Pettis walks straight into a right hand from Palmeri - that's dropped him! Palmeri jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Pettis from any more punishment! Pettis complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

A very excited looking Frankie Palmeri rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
