Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aleksander Olav (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scotty Barrett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barrett has chosen Les Paul and Mary Ford ~ I'm A Fool To Care as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Scotty Barrett acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aleksander Olav!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Scotty Barrett!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrett uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Olav has time to react.
Barrett misses with a jab, cross combination.
Barrett closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Olav's guard.
Barrett sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Olav has his foot on Barrett's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Barrett works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Olav manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Barrett breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Barrett moves into the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barrett content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Olav jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Barrett walks away with a smile on his face. Olav gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Barrett tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Barrett tries to close the distance and clinch up but Olav swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Barrett pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Barrett shoots in looking for a takedown. Olav tries to sprawl out of it but Barrett keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Olav manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Barrett throws a head kick but Olav moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Barrett throws a right hand that Olav ducks under and follows up with a left that Olav also avoids with ease.
Barrett throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Olav's waist but Olav gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barrett off to one side.
Barrett shoots in for a takedown but Olav shows good takedown defense.
Aleksander Olav has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scotty Barrett.
Olav circles away from the clinch attempt.
Barrett fails with an attempt to clinch.
Barrett doesn't manage to clinch there - Olav circles away.
Barrett shoots in for a takedown but Olav shows good takedown defense.
Barrett clinches with his opponent.

Barrett escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Barrett closes the distance and clinches.
Barrett pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Barrett tries to clinch up but Olav circles away and keeps his distance.
Barrett scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Barrett throws a left and a right that both miss
and Olav counters with a left to the body.
Barrett looks winded!

Barrett closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Olav's guard.
Barrett trying to control but Olav is working from the bottom.
Olav throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Olav has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Olav working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Barrett doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Olav is tightening it up a little... Barrett has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Barrett reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Barrett taps out! Nice BJJ there by Olav!
