The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bailey.
Henrique shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bailey as he jumps to the side.

Bailey scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Henrique is looking for a sweep. Bailey is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Bailey wants to free his trapped foot but Henrique is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Taaron Bailey just wasn't active enough.
Bailey shoots in and drives through. Henrique sprawls well.
Bailey tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Bailey pulls Henrique into guard.
Bailey bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Henrique's guard.
Henrique is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bailey has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Henrique is working away from the top position though.

Henrique is looking for a kimura but Bailey is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Henrique to get the leverage.

Bailey has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Henrique is on him like a limpet, forcing Bailey back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bailey is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Bailey doesn't manage to clinch there - Henrique circles away.

Bailey closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Horrible takedown by Bailey or perhaps it was just good defense by Henrique which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Taaron Bailey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bailey's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Henrique connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bailey scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bailey drives through and clinches with Henrique against the cage.

Henrique's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Henrique tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bailey manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Henrique shoots in for a takedown but Bailey shows good takedown defense.
Bailey closes the distance and clinches up with Henrique, looking for a takedown. Bailey pushes Henrique against the cage but Henrique circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Henrique moves in looking to clinch but Bailey pushes him off.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bailey fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Henrique sprawls well initially but Bailey persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
