Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Karim Chamakh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chamakh comes into the arena with Robyn - Indestructible blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Karim Chamakh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paulo Reyes!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Reyes throws a front kick aimed at Chamakh's knee but Chamakh avoids it well.
Reyes misses with a low kick as Chamakh jumps back.
Reyes lands with a good body shot.
Reyes swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Reyes throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Chamakh moves out of range of the strikes.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Chamakh checks a leg kick.
Chamakh avoids the head kick by Reyes.
Chamakh avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reyes throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Reyes uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Chamakh checks the leg kick nicely there.
Reyes throws a lazy head kick

and Chamakh counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Chamakh sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Reyes is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Chamakh fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Sloppy strikes there by Chamakh.
Chamakh lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Reyes down.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chamakh throws an elbow but Reyes slips to the side and avoids it well.
Reyes parries the strikes from Chamakh easily there. Chamakh is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Reyes to escape.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chamakh scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Reyes to see if he's OK.

Chamakh looks up at the clock and then as Reyes takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Chamakh smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Reyes managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Chamakh.
Chamakh throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Reyes is trying to get back to his feet.
Reyes regains half guard, as Chamakh was trying to land strikes.
Chamakh takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Chamakh works his way into full mount!
Reyes blocking the ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Chamakh breaks from Reyes's wrist control and lands an elbow.


Reyes is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Chamakh punching from mount but Reyes doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Reyes is in a horrible position here. Chamakh smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Reyes is still in real trouble! Can Chamakh finish him?
Chamakh unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Reyes wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Chamakh celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karim Chamakh!
