Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomi Koski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitchell Stehling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koski's entrance music is Catatonic Overload - Heavyweight . A fine choice. Stehling has chosen Turmion Kätilöt - Minä MÄÄRÄÄN! as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 54 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mitchell Stehling!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stehling throws a push kick but Koski slaps the foot to one side.
Koski throws a low kick but Stehling moves out of range easily.
Koski has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Araba Fenice in the buildup to the fight.
Stehling checks a leg kick nicely.
A solid leg kick lands there for Koski.
Koski connects with a body shot.
Koski throws a head kick that misses.
Koski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Koski throws a head kick but Stehling moves out of range.
Koski throws a body punch but Stehling moves out of range.
Stehling throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Koski's waist but Koski gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stehling off to one side.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Stehling's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Stehling lands a couple of elbows.
Stehling trying to control the position from guard on top but Koski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Stehling missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Stehling trying to control but Koski is working from the bottom.
Koski tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Stehling is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mitchell Stehling was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Stehling attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Koski ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Stehling gets a clinch.
Koski makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A short body shot lands from Koski as the two fighters clinch.

Koski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Koski goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Stehling fails with a takedown attempt.
Stehling takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Stehling keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Koski wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Koski throws a leg kick that is checked
enabling Stehling to counter with a crisp jab.
Koski jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Koski lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Koski fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Stehling on the side of the head.
Koski takes a swing at Stehling's ribcage but misses.
Stehling avoids the head kick by Koski.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stehling changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Koski tries to avoid it but Stehling manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Koski to the ground. Koski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tomi Koski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mitchell Stehling.

Koski gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Koski throws a hook but Stehling avoids it easily.
Koski pushes Stehling away with a front kick.
Koski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Koski takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

I would just about give that final round to Mitchell Stehling.
