Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Optimus Rimes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jensen Saint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saint has chosen Bad Company - Holy Water as his entrance music. Jensen Saint has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saint slips a jab from Rimes.
Saint throws a low kick but Rimes moves out of range easily.
Rimes lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Rimes lands a nice leg kick that just misses Saint's sensitive parts.
Saint throws a poor cross that misses

and Rimes counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Saint blocks a body shot from Rimes.
Saint tries to work over Rimes's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Saint blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Rimes tries a body shot but Saint blocks it.
Saint is trying to pull guard but Rimes has him pressed against the cage.

A short body shot lands from Saint as the two fighters clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rimes swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Saint lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Saint gets control of Rimes's arms and successfully pulls guard. Saint will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Saint escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rimes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Saint wants to sweep here but Rimes controlling him for the moment.

Saint is looking to sweep but instead, Rimes has passed into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rimes is taking a breather. Saint says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Saint is trying to maintain the position but Rimes is very close to passing his half guard.
Saint is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Rimes is staying active.

Rimes with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Saint felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Saint looking for submissions off his back.
Saint tries to get to full guard but Rimes has control of the leg.
Rimes stalling away here and it's allowed Saint to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Optimus Rimes wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Rimes lets loose with a powerful body kick. Saint will feel that in the morning.

Rimes with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Saint to score with a decent uppercut.

and Saint counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rimes's guard now.

Rimes pulls Saint in close to his closed guard and prevents Saint from doing any damage or advancing position.
Saint works over Rimes with some ground and pound from guard.
Rimes utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Saint is looking to work some ground and pound but Rimes has wrist control.
Rimes looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Saint throws a big elbow that misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Saint makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

A close round but Jensen Saint will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A bone on bone clash there as Saint blocks the leg kick.

Saint connects with a right hand. Rimes shakes it off.

Optimus Rimes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rimes tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Saint decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rimes's guard.
Oh Rimes is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Saint pushes down on Rimes's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Rimes looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Saint has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Saint lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Rimes! More strikes land and this one is all over! Saint jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

After the fight, Jensen Saint was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
