The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Serrano tries to sprawl but Hug drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hug is thwarting Serrano's attempts to control the position.
Serrano looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hug working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Hug seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Hug is looking for a kimura but Serrano is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hug to get the leverage.
Hug tries to stand but can't do so whilst Serrano controls his leg.
Hug uses his free foot to push down on Serrano's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Serrano.
Serrano tries to hold on but Hug postures up.
Hug scoring with strikes but Serrano is staying in there.

It looks like Humberto Serrano has been cut.
