Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magri misses with a shot to the body
and Jung counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Magri tries to get to full guard but Jung has control of the leg.
Jung missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Still in half guard, Jung seems content to control.
Jung trying to mount his opponent but Magri defends it.
Jung takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Chan-Sung Jung seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jung stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Magri swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Magri is adopting a defensive guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jung postures up in Magri's guard and throws a big left but Magri blocks it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jung stays in close to Magri's body and controls the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jung.
Magri misses with a right hand
and Jung counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Magri!
Magri is looking for a sweep.
Magri tries to control but Jung manages to take his back.
Jung slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Jung has Magri flattened out and is raining down punches.

Jung has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jung punches the canvas rather than the man.
Magri rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Jung takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Jung wants to clinch
letting Magri counter with a right hand.
Jung slips a straight right by Magri.
Magri might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Magri misses with a hook. Jung ducked under it nicely.
Magri swings for the body but Jung moves out of range.

Magri wants to stand but Jung is controlling the position.

Charlie Magri has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jung working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Magri doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Magri manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Chan-Sung Jung is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chan-Sung Jung.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jung, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
