The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burnett circles away from the clinch attempt.
McCuffs throws a half hearted mid kick.
McCuffs misses with an attempted mid kick.
McCuffs throws a solid leg kick but Burnett takes the impact on his shin and smiles at McCuffs.
McCuffs looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
McCuffs tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Burnett closes this distance looking for a takedown but McCuffs circles away.

and Burnett counters by clinching up.
McCuffs is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
McCuffs looks winded!
McCuffs wants to get back to striking at distance but Burnett won't allow it.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Burnett for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Burnett is trying to drag McCuffs to the mat but McCuffs just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Burnett tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Burnett jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McCuffs walks away with a smile on his face. Burnett gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jefferson Burnett. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Burnett shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McCuffs pinned against the cage. McCuffs gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
McCuffs tries a head kick but it misses.
Burnett really is a fat lump.

Burnett shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McCuffs as he avoids it easily.
Burnett looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Burnett tries to land a leg kick but McCuffs saw it coming and moves away.
McCuffs throws a wild body kick that Burnett sees coming a mile off.
McCuffs scores with a head kick.
McCuffs throws a sloppy head kick and Burnett moves out of range easily.
Burnett fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
McCuffs lands a nice hook to Burnett's body. Burnett takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Burnett gets the takedown into side control.
Burnett in side control, throwing shots but McCuffs defends.

Burnett cracks McCuffs with a big elbow.
The ground and pound from Burnett seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Burnett is putting a hurting on McCuffs here, landing some big shots from side control.

Burnett has hold of McCuffs's arm. He's looking for a kimura. McCuffs seems comfortable defending it but Burnett has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! McCuffs is real pain and he's forced to tap out! McCuffs is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Burnett couldn't care less - he's delighted!
