Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Elliott!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elliott dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Elliott lands with a kick to the temple. Dantes shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
A telegraphed right hand from Dantes misses the target.
Good leg kick by Elliott there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Dantes throws out a loose jab but Elliott uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dantes misses with a hook.

enabling Elliott to counter with a crisp jab.
Elliott lands with a slapping head kick.
Elliott scores with a head kick.

and Elliott makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Elliott counters with a one-two to the body.
Dantes dodges the punch combination from Elliott.

Elliott gets caught napping as Dantes dives in and scores a takedown. Elliott manages to retain guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Dantes's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Elliott tries to roll over but Dantes keeps him under control.
Dantes lands strikes from half guard.
Dantes looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Elliott with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Elliott scores with a leg kick.
Elliott throws a head kick that half lands.
Elliott uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dantes.
Elliott thuds his shin into the meat of Dantes's side.
A head kick from Elliott lands but Dantes takes it in his stride.
Dantes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Elliott's waist but Elliott gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dantes off to one side.
Elliott lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Elliott connects with a high kick.

Dantes rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Elliott counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Dantes tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Elliott moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Elliott throws a head kick that Dantes semi-blocks.
Elliott stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Dantes. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dantes throws a hook but Elliott blocks it.

and Elliott finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
John Elliott is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dantes on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Elliott. Elliott obviously looking to wear him down.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Elliott leaves Dantes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A thudding body kick lands there by Elliott!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Elliott dominated that round.
That's time! Dantes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Dantes scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Dantes is looking to take a break and control but Elliott is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
A lull in the action here as Dantes stalls from top position.
Dantes looks up at the clock and then as Elliott takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Dantes smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Dantes gets to mount! Elliott was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Dantes is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Dantes!
