Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Omega!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Chris Dean and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali gets caught flat footed, as Omega shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Omega throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ali keeping moving, preventing Omega from controlling successfully.
Ali wants to stand and escape but Omega is having none of it.
Omega passes Ali's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Omega is pressing down on Ali's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ali is holding on for now.
Ali is looking to escape.
Omega seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ali does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Omega working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Omega takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Ali wants to get back to his feet.
Omega not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Omega throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Ali wants to get back to his feet.
Omega seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Let's hope that Omega has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Ali is not content to let Omega control the position.

Ali is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at BEVA Fight Home, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
