Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Winston Mcdonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aldo has chosen Jay Z - Run This Town as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jose Aldo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcdonald changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aldo tries to avoid it but Mcdonald manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aldo to the ground. Aldo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A head kick misses from Aldo.
Mcdonald really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Mcdonald has a takedown stuffed.

Aldo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mcdonald napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Aldo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aldo is looking to take a break and control but Mcdonald is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

After the fight, Jose Aldo was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
