The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Penn tries to keep at a distance but The Great has taken the fight into the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from The Great.
The Great connects with a nasty looking knee right to Penn's face.
The Great lands an elbow inside that Penn shrugs off.
The Great gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
A short body shot lands from The Great as the two fighters clinch.

The Great holding his opponent close, against the cage.
The Great lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Penn changes levels and goes for a takedown here. The Great fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The Great has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
The Great moves in looking to clinch but Penn pushes him off.
Penn has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Basics -LOD- in the buildup to the fight.
Casey Penn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Penn lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Penn tries to pull guard but The Great forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Penn ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Penn no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Penn lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for The Great!
The Great is squirming around, avoiding Penn's attempts to control the action.
You get the feeling that The Great really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Penn working for a guillotine from mount but The Great is in no mood to give up.
The Great is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Penn wants to take his opponent's back but The Great doesn't allow it.
The Great is trying to stand.

Penn wants to stand but The Great is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

The Great defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Penn.
The Great wants to try and get back to his feet.
The Great really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Penn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The Great has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Penn is working for a rear naked choke. The Great is not defending it well and Penn has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! The Great refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of The Great's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
