With a record of 9 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, RZ Silva!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boreling ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.
Boreling takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Boreling got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boreling has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted.

We've been hearing that Boreling has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Silva is looking to stand up but Boreling isn't so interested in that idea.

Boreling looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Silva with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Boreling is nestled in close to Silva, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Boreling takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Silva has hold of Boreling's hands but Boreling slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Boreling is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Silva is hurt! He's hurt bad - Boreling fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Silva from any more punishment! Congratulations to Boreling! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karl Boreling!
A relieved looking Karl Boreling thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
