Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Balan Syed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herb Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Syed's entrance music is Undead. A fine choice. Hunter has chosen Intimidation mixtape as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Joseph Jones and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter thows a left - swing and a miss!
Syed with a lazy takedown attempt
and Hunter counters with a head kick. That will keep Syed thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Syed misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Syed attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Hunter pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Syed back to the cage. Hunter follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Balan Syed has been cut.
Hunter throws a body punch but Syed moves out of range.
Hunter misses with a low kick.
Syed has a takedown stuffed.
Hunter lands with a nice body punch.

Syed tries to clinch up but Hunter circles away and keeps his distance.

Syed rushes Hunter and presses him up against the cage.

Syed looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Syed pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Hunter blocks an uppercut.

Syed connects with a nice looking jab.
Hunter has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

A telegraphed right hand from Syed misses the target.
Hunter slips a jab from Syed.
Hunter changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Syed has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

and Hunter counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Syed is looking to clinch but Hunter is avoiding it.
Syed tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Syed looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hunter is fending him off so far but Syed persists. Nope, Hunter circles away and we're back to standing.

Hunter scores with a hook to the body. Syed takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Syed is breathing heavily.
Syed throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hunter counters with a stiff right hand.
Syed instigates a clinch.
Syed keeps control of Hunter as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Hunter lands a nice uppercut.
Syed is working for takedown but Hunter is calmly controlling the position for now.
Hunter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Hunter scores with a spinning back kick!
That kick from Hunter tenderised Syed's leg. Syed is trying to keep his angry face on.
Hunter pushes Syed away with a front kick.
Hunter is looking to slow Syed down with leg kicks.

Syed sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Hunter buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hunter scoring well with a low kick there.
Hunter connects with an inside leg kick.
Hunter lands an overhand right.
Syed takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hunter bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Syed's head.
Syed is rocked!

Hunter is looking to slow Syed down with leg kicks.
Oh Syed is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hunter is stalking Syed. Syed circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Hunter, and it's lights out! Syed really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Herb Hunter!
After winning the bout, Herb Hunter thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
