And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leon scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Leon lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
A leg kick checked by Sokoloff.
Sokoloff tries to clinch up.
Leon looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Leon throws a right and a left that Sokoloff avoids nicely.
Leon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Sokoloff closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Leon quickly recovers to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Sokoloff trying to mount his opponent but Leon defends it.

Sokoloff has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sokoloff is trying for a kimura here. Leon looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Sokoloff wins by kimura!

A relieved looking Shapovolov Sokoloff thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
