Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Cambell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buster Knott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knott has chosen Kanye West vs. The xx - Touch The Sky (Carlos Serrano Mix) as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Buster Knott was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wayne Cambell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Buster Knott!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knott tries to clinch there but Cambell circles away.

Cambell drives through with a takedown into Knott's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Knott bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cambell's guard.
Knott throws a big elbow that misses.

Knott drops back looking for a leg! Cambell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cambell manages to kick Knott off! Knott jumps back into Cambell's guard.
Cambell looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Cambell is looking for a triangle but Knott pushes his legs off easily.
Cambell on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cambell tries to get out of the position.
Knott wants to control from the top but Cambell keeps moving.
Knott connects with a couple of short punches.

Knott is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Knott wanted to stand there but Cambell had control of the position.
Cambell pulls Knott in to control the position.
Cambell keeping moving, preventing Knott from controlling successfully.
Knott is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Knott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cambell swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cambell definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Cambell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Knott on the ground.
Knott wants to control from the top but Cambell keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Buster Knott.

Knott gets caught flat footed, as Cambell shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Cambell lands a couple of elbows.

Knott is trying to keep Cambell in close.
Cambell working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Knott is staying active underneath Cambell, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Cambell is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Knott is just riding it out for now. Cambell eventually gives up the hold.
Knott is looking to control Cambell's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Knott avoid being mounted?
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Buster Knott wasn't active enough on the ground.
Cambell looks for a takedown but Knott sprawls well.

Knott drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cambell looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cambell looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cambell!
Cambell creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Wayne Cambell will probably get the nod.

Knott throws a hook but Cambell blocks it.
Cambell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Knott is fending him off so far but Cambell persists. Nope, Knott circles away and we're back to standing.

Knott throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cambell tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Knott is in Cambell's guard.

Wayne Cambell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Knott swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cambell dives in and grabs Knott's left leg, looking for a takedown. Knott pushes down on Cambell's head and hops out.
Knott throws a front kick aimed at Cambell's knee but Cambell avoids it well.
Buster Knott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cambell shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Cambell is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Knott sees it coming and defends easily.
Cambell is trying to control. Knott wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Knott is controlling Cambell's trapped leg to prevent Cambell from advancing to side control.
Cambell thows a huge punch but Knott dodges it nicely.

Cambell seems to be looking for submissions.

Knott has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Cambell is on him like a limpet, forcing Knott back against the ropes.

Knott breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Knott throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cambell was covering up waiting for the punch and Knott finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Cambell has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Cambell has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Cambell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Buster Knott hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Cambell fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Knott avoids it really well and circles away.

Buster Knott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Buster Knott comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Knott has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
