Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Plastic Bowl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Longhold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Plastic Bowl has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowl misses with a wild combination.
Longhold shoots in for a takedown but Bowl shows good takedown defense.
Longhold tries to bum rush Bowl with a series of wild strikes but Bowl uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bowl throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Longhold throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bowl tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Longhold is in Bowl's guard.

Longhold fails with an attempt to clinch.
Longhold changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bowl tries to avoid it but Longhold manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bowl to the ground. Bowl escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bowl looks to land a combination but Longhold avoids it well.
Plastic Bowl is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Longhold tries for a takedown but Bowl sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

We've been hearing good reports from Bowl's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Longhold shoots for a double leg takedown but Bowl sprawls well. He's pushed Longhold's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Plastic Bowl has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Longhold.

Bowl wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Longhold wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Bowl escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Longhold's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bowl connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Longhold scrambles back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bowl is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Longhold's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
