The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins slaps away a takedown attempt from Salcedo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jose Salcedo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jenkins keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jenkins has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Jenkins lands an overhand right.
Salcedo pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A head kick misses from Salcedo.

and Jenkins counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jenkins slips a jab and a cross from Salcedo.

Jenkins feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Salcedo sprawling to the canvas! Salcedo rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jenkins finish him?!

Salcedo is rocked!

Jenkins cracks Salcedo with a hook to the temple - Salcedo is on wobbly legs here! Jenkins swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Salcedo falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Jenkins wins by TKO!
