PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Houston Perkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Baudelio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Baudelio told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jose Baudelio!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Ben Watson and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baudelio fails in his attempt to clinch.
Baudelio goes for a double leg but Perkins avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Perkins continues to drive forward.
Baudelio tries to pull guard but Perkins forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Perkins gets underhooks to prevent Baudelio's takedown attempt.
Houston Perkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Baudelio.

Baudelio gets control of Perkins's arms and successfully pulls guard. Baudelio will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Baudelio wants to sweep but no luck.
Perkins trying to control the position from guard on top but Baudelio is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Baudelio is looking to stand up but Perkins isn't so interested in that idea.

Baudelio has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Perkins should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Baudelio has tightened it up now! Perkins should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
