Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Shashia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quagmire Yeah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Bruce Shashia has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yeah takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Shashia throws a head kick but Yeah moves out of range.
Shashia scores with the left hand. Yeah knows he should have avoided that one.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Yeah.
Shashia throws a right and a left that Yeah avoids nicely.
Yeah tries to clinch but Shashia is having none of it.
Shashia lands a body shot.
Shashia's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Shashia duly obliges.
Shashia just misses with a punch to the body.
Shashia throws a push kick but Yeah slaps the foot to one side.

Shashia ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yeah moves away.

Yeah misses with a takedown attempt - Shashia sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Shashia looks to score with a jab to the body but Yeah is just out of range.

Yeah pushing down on Shashia's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Shashia won't allow Yeah to pass to mount.

Yeah is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Shashia is just riding it out for now. Yeah eventually gives up the hold.

Yeah is looking for a kimura but Shashia is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Yeah to get the leverage.

Yeah is pressing down on Shashia's thigh, looking to free his foot. Shashia is holding on for now.
Shashia is in trouble now - Yeah has advanced to mount!

Yeah has hold of Shashia's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Shashia manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Shashia scores with a few weak punches.

Yeah is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Shashia has managed to free his arm - good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shashia gets back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yeah trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Yeah has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at BLACKSMITH GYM - THE 25 Coach Las Vegas Mega-Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Yeah drops back, looking for a kneebar! Shashia looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Shashia looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Shashia!

Shashia stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Shashia cracks Yeah with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Yeah takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shashia throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Shashia comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Yeah goes for a double leg but Shashia avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Shashia continues to drive forward.
Bruce Shashia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quagmire Yeah.
Yeah tries to land knees in the clinch but Shashia avoids the damage to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bruce Shashia will probably get the nod.

Shashia lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Shashia throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shashia misses with a body shot.
Shashia scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Yeah avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shashia throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Shashia misses the shot to the body.
Shashia rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Yeah moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Yeah drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Yeah darts in trying to clinch
and Yeah takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Shashia bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A lazy left from Shashia finds it's target.
Shashia paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Bruce Shashia is winning the standup battle so far.

Yeah gets the takedown into side control.

Yeah working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Shashia is trying to improve his position.

Yeah is trying to get an arm triangle but Shashia is defending well.

Yeah tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Shashia wants to control but Yeah postures up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Yeah has hold of Shashia's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Shashia tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Yeah cranks the arm and Shashia screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Shashia, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
