Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kublai Congo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Vronsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Congo comes to the cage accompanied by Lil' Jamal- Genetic For Terror. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Kublai Congo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 20 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Vronsky!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vronsky loads up on a big right hand but Congo slips the punch.
Congo scores with a nice body kick.
Congo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Vronsky closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Vronsky looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Vronsky is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Vronsky working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Congo's thigh. Congo counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Vronsky wants to lay and pray for a moment but Congo keeps working.
Congo gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

It looks like Kublai Congo has been cut.
Poor strikes thrown by Vronsky there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Congo tries to hold on but Vronsky pushes him away.

Congo is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Vronsky can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Congo is looking to escape.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Congo can't escape the position.
Congo sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Congo blocking the ground and pound attempt from Vronsky.
Vronsky looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Congo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Vronsky throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Vronsky thows a huge punch but Congo dodges it nicely.
Vronsky is just content to waste time from the top position. Congo takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Vronsky wants to pass the guard but Congo is keeping the position.
Congo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Vronsky!
Vronsky is looking to get to half guard.
Congo wants to control the pace but Vronsky is squirming around nicely.
Vronsky is trying to escape the mount.

Vronsky bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Congo gets caught napping as Vronsky dives in and scores a takedown. Congo manages to retain guard.

Congo can't keep his opponent in guard - Vronsky advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Vronsky seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Vronsky pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Congo is keeping the position for now.
Vronsky looking to sit in guard and control but Congo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Congo wants to pass the guard but Vronsky is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vronsky is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Congo desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Congo is pressing down on Vronsky's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Vronsky with a flurry of punches that miss.
Congo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Vronsky pushes down on Congo's leg and manages to get into half guard.
We've been informed that Vronsky has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Vronsky wants to pass to mount but Congo is defending the position.

Vronsky perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Congo moves into full guard.
Vronsky works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Vronsky not doing much here.
Vronsky is just content to waste time from the top position. Congo takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Vronsky trying to control the position from guard on top but Congo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Vronsky passes Congo's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Vronsky is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Congo reverses the position - he's now on top in Vronsky's guard.
Vronsky not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Vronsky looking for a sweep. Not yet Vronsky, not yet.
Congo wants to control from the top but Vronsky keeps moving.
Vronsky avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Vronsky pulls Congo in close to his closed guard and prevents Congo from doing any damage or advancing position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michael Vronsky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Congo cracks the inside of Vronsky's front leg.
Congo scores with a jab.
Vronsky fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Congo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Congo lands a head shot.
Vronsky takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Congo throws a half hearted mid kick.
Congo throws a push kick but Vronsky slaps the foot to one side.
Vronsky swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Vronsky takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Vronsky avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Congo waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Vronsky.

Vronsky shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Vronsky was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Congo gets full guard.
Vronsky passes Congo's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Congo keeping control of the position.
Vronsky wants to pass the guard but Congo is defending well.
Congo is trying to get back to full guard.
Michael Vronsky is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Vronsky content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Kublai Congo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Congo tries to roll over but Vronsky keeps him under control.
Vronsky wants to free his trapped foot but Congo is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Vronsky is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Vronsky shoots in for a takedown but Congo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Congo looks for the body kick but Vronsky saw that one coming.
Vronsky connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Vronsky closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vronsky lands in his opponent's guard.

Vronsky slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Congo keeping moving, preventing Vronsky from controlling successfully.
Vronsky is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Michael Vronsky wasn't active enough on the ground.
Vronsky avoids the head kick by Congo.
Vronsky misses with a takedown attempt - Congo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Michael Vronsky.
I've got Vronsky winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
