Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Condit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Achilles Leonidas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leonidas has chosen Whom Shall I Fear as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlos Condit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Achilles Leonidas!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonidas takes a swing at Condit's ribcage but misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Condit.
Leonidas avoids a wild elbow strike from Condit.
Leonidas lands a body punch in the clinch.
Condit lands an uppercut.
Condit jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Leonidas walks away with a smile on his face. Condit gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Condit looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Carlos Condit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Condit staying out of range there.
Condit looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Leonidas changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Leonidas. Condit does a little dance to reset his feet.

Condit throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Leonidas was covering up waiting for the punch and Condit finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Leonidas pulls Condit in close to prevent any damage.
Leonidas avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Leonidas is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Leonidas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Condit is one step ahead there.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Achilles Leonidas wasn't active enough on the ground.
Leonidas displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Condit.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Condit. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Leonidas lands a leg kick that knocks Condit off balance momentarily.
Donk. Leonidas catches Condit right on the button with a cross.
Leonidas feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Condits jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Condit changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Leonidas tries to avoid it but Condit manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Leonidas to the ground. Leonidas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Leonidas clinches up with Condit and pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Condit creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Leonidas told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Leonidas tries to land a knee to the head but Condit blocks with his arms.

Condit tries for a takedown. No joy.

Condit is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Leonidas is defending well for now.

Leonidas misses with a hook to the ribs.
Condit tries to pull guard but Leonidas won't allow it.
Condit throws an elbow but it misses.

Oh Condit is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A short right hand to the side of the head by Leonidas.
Leonidas dips a shoulder and cracks Condit with a mighty uppercut! Condit falls back against the cage and Leonidas unloads with a barrage of strikes! Condit is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Leonidas screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
