The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Conner changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Douglas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Douglas wants to control but Conner postures up.
Conner takes a little break here. Douglas wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Conner tries to stand but Douglas is controlling his head.
Conner is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Douglas will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Douglas is pushing Conner's head away, looking to escape. Conner manages to hold on to the position though.
Douglas dodges the ground and pound from Conner.

Conner tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Conner just content to control the position.

Conner is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Douglas has escaped the position, nice work there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Conner has an Americana. Douglas didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Conner is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Conner hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
