Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hussak Claw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deangelo Sturtsil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hussak Claw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Deangelo Sturtsil!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sturtsil dives in and scores a takedown into Claw's guard.
Sturtsil working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Claw utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Sturtsil wants to control from the top but Claw keeps moving.
Claw has control of Sturtsil's left arm, preventing Sturtsil from doing any damage.
Sturtsil loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Sturtsil wants to stand but Claw has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Claw had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sturtsil defends it easily.

Hussak Claw has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

My spies in The Shield inform me that Sturtsil has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sturtsil connects with a nice short shot to Claw's temple.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Sturtsil shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sturtsil was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Claw got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sturtsil has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Claw has managed to get both his arms back between Sturtsil's legs - danger averted.

Claw stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sturtsil swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Claw is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sturtsil has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Claw is looking to defend but Sturtsil has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Claw! Sturtsil pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Claw taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Deangelo Sturtsil!
A relieved looking Deangelo Sturtsil thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
