Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vel Sirra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sirra comes into the arena with Omen by Prodigy blaring out of the sound system. Silva is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Audioslave - Like a Stone. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Sirra.
Sirra throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sirra off to one side.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sirra looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Silva drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Sirra is looking to reverse the position.
Sirra stops Silva from passing to mount.

Sirra throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.

Sirra is in a bad position with Silva working for a choke. Sirra manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

Sirra tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Silva counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sirra's guard now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Silva is trying to control Sirra's posture. Sirra takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Silva! Sirra is rotating here... this could be the end... Silva is out! Sirra has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
