Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Terry Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrey Petrushka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrey Petrushka looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Terry Moon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrey Petrushka!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrushka tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Moon was well out of range. Poor timing from Petrushka.

Moon has taken the fight to the clinch.
Moon misses with a knee to the head.

Petrushka gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Moon.
Moon lands a nice uppercut.
Moon tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Petrushka just stands there and leans against the cage.

Moon changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Petrushka fights it off and pushes away nicely.

It looks like Terry Moon has been cut.
Petrushka looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Moon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Petrushka looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Andrey Petrushka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Moon counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Moon.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Petrushka wants to stand up but Moon is controlling him.
Moon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Petrushka throws out a loose jab but Moon uses good head movement to avoid it.

Petrushka has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Moon is proving hard to escape from.

That's time! Moon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Petrushka throws a series of punches but Moon moves out of range.
Petrushka is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Moon creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Petrushka sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Petrushka prevents a takedown attempt there.

Moon ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Moon no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Moon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Moon darts in looking for a takedown but Petrushka gets double underhooks and turns Moon into the cage.

Moon wants to get back to striking at distance but Petrushka won't allow it.

Moon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Petrushka was covering up waiting for the punch and Moon finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Moon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Petrushka is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Moon, into his guard.

Petrushka throws a series of punches but Moon avoids them all with ease.

Moon is working for takedown but Petrushka is calmly controlling the position for now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Terry Moon.
I think Moon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
