Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Charles Benedict (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boko Shambles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charles Benedict could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Boko Shambles's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Charles Benedict!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Boko Shambles!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shambles gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Benedict.
Charles Benedict seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Benedict looks for the body kick but Shambles saw that one coming.
Shambles's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Benedict connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Shambles scrambles back to his feet.
Benedict scores with a push kick.
Benedict lunges at Shambles with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Shambles's hand.
Benedict throws a low kick but Shambles avoids it.
Shambles walks into a stiff left hand from Benedict.
Shambles tries for a takedown but Benedict circles away easily
and Benedict counters with a low kick, right behind Shambles 's knee.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Benedict lands with a kick to the temple. Shambles shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Shambles looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Benedict keeping moving, preventing Shambles from controlling successfully.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shambles sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Benedict's guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Benedict manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Shambles tries to free his leg and advance position but Benedict is retaining full guard.
Shambles passes Benedict's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Shambles trying to mount his opponent but Benedict defends it.
Shambles prevents Benedict from improving his position.
Shambles is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Shambles is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Benedict doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Shambles.

Benedict is in trouble now - Shambles has advanced to mount!
Shambles goes for an armbar but Benedict turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Benedict.

Shambles is trying to control the position but Benedict postures up.
Benedict looking to pass the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Benedict trying to control the position from guard on top but Shambles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Benedict passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Shambles is looking to regain half guard here but Benedict keeps moving and retains side control.

Shambles is looking for a sweep.
Benedict wants to control but Shambles is keeping him busy.
Benedict tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Benedict knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shambles on the ground.
Shambles manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Benedict wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shambles keeps working.
Benedict wants to pass the guard but Shambles is defending well.
Benedict is working for a kimura but Shambles is defending it quite comfortably.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Charles Benedict will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!
Benedict goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Shambles closes the distance and clinches up with Benedict, looking for a takedown. Shambles pushes Benedict against the cage but Benedict circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Benedict plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Shambles blocks a low kick nicely.
Benedict looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Shambles takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Benedict dips to his left and cracks Shambles with an uppercut!
Shambles fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Benedict avoids it really well and circles away.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Benedict - that will leave a mark!

Benedict feints and then cracks Shambles's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Shambles down.
Benedict connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Benedict throws a head kick that misses.
Benedict cracks the inside of Shambles's front leg.
Benedict fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Shambles on the side of the head.
Benedict paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Benedict throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Shambles is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Charles Benedict!
