The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Butts blocks the leg kick.
Butts shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says King as he avoids it easily.
Butts swats away the attempt to clinch by King.

Butts gets the takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on King's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Butts knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground.
King taking punishment in the form of punches.
Butts tries to advance to mount but King denies him.
Butts lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear King down.

King is looking for a sweep.
Butts is putting a hurting on King here, landing some big shots from side control.
Butts tries to score with some ground and pound. King controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

King parries the strikes from Butts easily there. Butts is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable King to escape.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Butts decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in King's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Butts keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of King's head.
King utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

King is trying to control the position but Butts postures up.

King has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Butts doesn't defend quickly enough and King has managed to lock this one up! Can Butts escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to King on a fantastic submission victory.
